Break out those dancing shoes and charge up your smartphone— Ellen will soon be grooving into your home at 3 p.m., prime dancing time!
I am personally excited that The Ellen DeGeneres Show will air on Local 4 in the afternoon starting at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 4. It’s only fitting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show— which is the No. 1 talk show in Detroit (go Ellen!) — will join other top 20 markets around the country that already enjoy Ellen in the afternoon.
There are so many reasons why I love Ellen and @TheEllenShow: her super positive attitude, the way she engages her audience –live, on TV and through social media – her absolutely hilarious wit, her goodwill efforts and so much more. I am a particular fan of her “Weekly Tweetly” segments where she shares a roundup of what her Twitter fans have been up to. You can just imagine the clever spin Ellen can put on 140 characters ☺
It’s always entertaining when Ellen banters with celebrities and plays practical jokes on them and with tons of unsuspecting people. Have you ever seen the shows where Ellen sends out her writer Amy on assignments? Or when she puts hidden cameras in the celebrities’ dressing rooms? Sometimes Ellen sends Amy to public places and feeds Amy what to say via an earpiece — and the resulting conversations and looks are so entertaining that you’re sure to laugh so hard you’ll find tears running down your face!
With all the “questionable” female characters we see through reality TV today, I feel Ellen is a role model with a refreshing personality, wit and integrity for young and adult females alike. So starting Monday, February 4, you can watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show at 3 p.m. on Local 4.
After a full day of working, doing errands and taking care of everything you do each day, sitting down and watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show at 3 p.m. will be a perfect break to catch up on pop culture, stay plugged in to what’s relevant, tweet and “LOL” (and maybe shed a tear or two sometimes!). Plus, Ellen does so many feel-good stories that watching the show is a great way to get in a good mood.
With Ellen moving to 3 p.m., it’s the perfect time to sit down with your tweens and teens after school and watch the show together. That’s one of the great things about The Ellen DeGeneres Show: it’s family-friendly, trendy and topical — so everyone in the house can enjoy it.
What’s your favorite skit Ellen has done? Who’s your favorite celebrity interview she’s had? What’s your favorite feel-good or philanthropic story Ellen has shown? Let me know so I can relive it, too!
And don’t forget to tweet with fellow Ellen fans in the D at #Ellenmovesto3pm to countdown the switch on Local 4!
Thanks for reading!
